The first meeting of the Board of Trustees of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University Award was held at the headquarters of Ain Shams University on 25 – July – 2022, Egypt. The meeting was held in the presence of HE Prof. Adnan Badran, former Prime Minister of Jordan; HE Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary General of AArU; Prof. Mohamed Awad Tageldin, Presidential Advisor for Health Affairs in Egypt; Prof. Issa Alansari, President, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University; Prof. El-Meteini, the President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, the President of the University of Bahrain; Prof. Khamisi Hamidi, Assistant Secretary General of AArU; Prof. Faisal Al-Anzi, Vice President of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University; Mrs. Lina Al-Bitar, the Director of Public Administration in AArU; and Mr. Waheeb Karajah, the Director of Media and Public Relations in AArU.
This Award is presented by Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University with an annual amount of $250,000 for the best scientific production. This award will encourage the researchers in Arab universities to increase and improve their research outcomes in different areas such as; scientific research; leadership and innovation research; technology and digital transformation research; scientific research in social development; undergraduate project; and international collaboration.
كذلك تهدف الجائزة إلى توجيه الجامعات للحرص على تحسين الخدمات المجتمعية وتعميمها على كل الجامعات لإدماج الطلبة في بيئاتهم ودفعهم إلى الإسهام في تقديم الحلول المناسبة للمعوقات التي تعترض المجتمع. وسعي وتحفيز الطلاب باعتبار الطالب أساس العملية التعليمة والتربوية في الجامعات.
The award consists of six different categories, as follows:
1. Best Scientific Production of Scientific Research, $50,000
2. Best Scientific Output of Leadership and Innovation, $50,000
3. Best Scientific Production of Technology and Digital transformation, $50,000
4. Best Joint Scientific Research between Arab and International Universities, $50,000
5. Best Scientific Research in Social Development on Sustainable Development Goals, $25,000
6. Best Undergraduate Project Award, $25,000
For his part, Prof. Salama thanked the award board of trustees for their attendance at this meeting. He also valued the efforts of the Ain Shams University team for hosting this important event at the university headquarter.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Ansari shed light on the main objectives of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University such as; encouraging the scientific research in Arab universities by providing these awards, and encouraging the best research to be a real product that can be used in the market as a powerful new venture.
